Gong cha Narragansett | Narragansett, RI
This Gong Cha commercial build-out in Rhode Island transformed an existing interior space into a finished tea shop with new service, seating, prep, storage, office, and back-of-house areas. The scope included demolition, framing, plumbing, electrical, drywall, custom millwork, tile, flooring, FRP, painting, furniture, and final cleaning to support a complete retail food-service environment.
- Front-of-House Scope: Custom front service counter with wooden slats and Pure White quartz countertop, wooden slat wall feature at the sitting area, dining furniture, window bar seating, new lighting, glue-down vinyl plank flooring, and painted ceiling/walls.
- Back-of-House Scope: New prep, rear prep, storage, office, and hallway framing; plumbing for sinks, mop sink, ice machine, water heater, water filter, floor drains/sinks, and restroom fixtures; electrical for equipment, POS/tech, signage, televisions, and outlets; FRP wall panels; quarry tile flooring; and floor-to-ceiling wall tile in the prep area.
Before: Existing open commercial space with interior partitions, merchandising shelving, flooring, and ceiling elements scheduled for demolition.
After: Completed tea shop interior featuring a custom service counter, branded seating area, new prep spaces, updated plumbing and electrical systems, finished ceilings and walls, commercial flooring, tile, FRP panels, and coordinated furniture installation.
The result is a fully built-out Gong Cha tea shop with a polished customer-facing area and functional back-of-house support spaces. By coordinating structural, MEP, millwork, flooring, tile, and finish scopes under one renovation plan, the project transformed the space into a clean, modern, and operational retail environment.
